driving into Paris
Eiffel Tower
Eiffel tower again
'wall garden' plants planted vertically
a street in Paris
Arc De Triomphe
It started to rain - I took this photo of a group of people standing under different cloured umbrellas and just liked the way it turned out
Bridge where couples go and lock a padlock and then throw the key into the river, for example, on their wedding day/anniversary/honeyoon
Notre Dame sign
Back to the Eiffel tower - ready to climb

Unfortunately, I took my Australian flag off the bus (so I could use it the next day on the free day in Paris, we weren't going back to the bus for 1.5 days so thought I might need it) and going through security the guards took it off me (as they did with every other exchange student, some even had them signed or had gotten a flag from every country they had visited) and made me throw it in a rubbish bin! they didnt have a place or person we could give them too to collect when we came back down. So unfortunately the entire experience of going to the top of the Eiffel tower was tarnished for me.

3/4 of the way up, still a fair way up to go

Beginning of free day, we went via metro into the main part of the city and headed into the same district as Notre Dame and wandered around for a while...
Metro
The 2 saxaphone players on the metro
Notre Dame
random restaraunt
This Cathedral played a huge part in 'The DaVinci Code'
The Lourve
An advertisement for 'Swan Lake' the exact same company and performance we saw on our St. Petersburg tour - sorry Paris but you're behind the times haha
Park beneith the Eiffel Tower
Eiffel Tower lights show - enjoyed just after having a crepe at the the bottom of the tower, a stereotypical French experience
Eiffel tower by night - on the way back to our hotel, enjoyed the free day wandering the back streets of Paris and seeing some of the big attractions in the city and even kind of forgot about less attractive events of the day before
